CONVERTING A BIG, EMPTY SPACE INTO A NEW HEADQUARTERS
A growing company was relocating its offices from downtown Baltimore into an office park in suburban Howard County. The firm was taking over space that previously had been occupied by another tenant, and the 5,700 square foot suite needed to be fully built out. While mechanical systems were already in place, everything needed to be relocated in order to accommodate the new floor plan.
Additionally, the firm wanted an upscale, contemporary feel to be integrated into the design of the new space. New City worked with both the landlord and company representatives to bring this new office to life.
The client had a relatively tight budget to achieve the look and feel it wanted, so New City used its supplier relationships and “low-cost, high-impact” expertise gained from working on residential rehabs to help source great looking finishes at very reasonable prices. New City also helped the client identify the best places in the office to use the budget to create the most dramatic effect. The results speak for themselves; the new office is full of high-end touches like hardwood, glass tile, granite, wainscoting and cultured stone. Yet, the whole project was delivered right on budget.
