Kirsten Brecht is the co-founder of New City, and is responsible for leading the Company’s business development, business strategy and marketing. Prior to her role in New City Construction, LLC, Ms. Brecht was a managing partner of Constellar Group, Inc. a business consulting firm she co-founded, focused on accelerating the growth of emerging and established companies.
Previously, Ms. Brecht served as a senior strategic consultant for Monitor Company (now The Monitor Group), a fast growing and highly regarded strategy-consulting firm. For Monitor, she was responsible for project-based solutions for Fortune 250 companies in corporate growth and operations strategy, with a focused expertise in marketing strategy.
Ms. Brecht has experience building companies. She has founded and/or grown four companies: two technology-based services companies and two consulting businesses. Ms. Brecht holds an MBA in entrepreneurial management and marketing from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School, and a BA in political science and Russian from the University of Pennsylvania.
JOSEPH YAFFE, COO/CFO

Joseph Yaffe is the co-founder of New City, and is responsible for leading the Company’s finance and operations functions. Joseph Yaffe has twenty years experience in the development, operation and financing of emerging businesses. He has built successful companies and has served as a consultant to early-stage and growth companies, industry consolidators and public market candidates. Prior to New City Construction, LLC, Mr. Yaffe was a managing partner of Constellar Group, Inc., described above.
Previously, Mr. Yaffe served as Vice President of Siegel Management Company, a Philadelphia-based strategic consulting and investment-banking firm. Mr. Yaffe is a successful serial entrepreneur. He has founded, grown and managed five companies: a special events services company, an information products developer, an Internet services firm and two consulting businesses. Mr. Yaffe holds an MBA in entrepreneurial management from the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School and a BS in finance and marketing from the University of Maryland.
GARY KLECKNER, CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

Gary Kleckner has over 15 years experience in construction and the trades, with over seven years as a construction supervisor. Additionally, Mr. Kleckner is a state and nationally certified home inspector and a MHIC-licensed contractor and salesperson. Mr. Kleckner has supervised over a hundred renovation projects for the company.
SCOTT DOWER, PRODUCTION MANAGER

Scott. Dower has over 25 years experience in the construction industry, specializing in production and operations management. He has owned his own construction company and has served as a field superintendent for other builders. Mr. Dower has served as an external process consultant to construction companies, focused on evaluating and developing processes and systems from initial client contact through warranty.
